LENS provides a platform for young people to advocate for their peers by reporting on youth community life in the City of Greater Dandenong.
Participants will discuss and develop digital content on issues that matter to them, that impact their aspirations and affect their daily lives. Participants will have the ability utilise a wide range of mediums including: videography, graphic design, music, spoken word, recordings, and social media content. Young people will be supported in shaping their concepts into high-quality media products.
What does LENS involve?
This is your chance to gain practical skills in multimedia production and the planning and development of high-quality social media campaigns.
As a LENS participant, you will:
- Gain practical skills in multimedia
- Learn about planning, developing and managing media campaigns on a large scale
- Have access to industry standard creative software and hardware
- Develop communication skills and network with likeminded young people
LENS will begin with a training session during the April school holidays, and will run weekly during Term 2.
- When: Every Wednesday
- Location: Springvale Library
- Time: 4.30pm - 6.30pm
- Ages: 16-25 years
- Cost: Free
All COVID Safe guidelines will be fully met to ensure public safety for this program.
