Youth and Family Services delivers a fun and diverse School Holiday Program every school holiday period, packed with activities, workshops, excursions and events for young people.
Whether you want to learn new skills, try out different sports, cook delicious meals, get creative or explore new places, there’s something for everyone. Our activities are co-designed with our Holiday Activities Committee (HAC) to make sure they are fun, relevant and youth-informed.

How can I participate?
Our school holiday program is published on this website several weeks before each holiday period. To secure your place, make sure to register early via our Humanitix bookings page – spots fill fast.
We also advertise the activities through our Youth Newsletter. You can sign up for the Youth e-news on the bottom of this page and receive the holiday program information as soon as it is published.

Who can attend activities in the School Holiday Program?
Young people aged 12-25 years who live, study, work or have a significant connection to the City of Greater Dandenong are welcome to participate.
What kind of activities are offered?
Activities vary each holiday period and may include creative workshops, excursions, sports and recreational activities, skill-building sessions and social events. Holiday activities are shaped by the Holiday Activities Committee to ensure they are youth-informed.
What is the Holiday Activities Committee?
The Holiday Activities Committee (HAC) is a four-week introductory leadership program that provides young people with opportunities to design holiday programs while developing facilitation skills, gaining confidence, making new friendships and stepping into a Peer Leader role.
