COVID -19 Support for Young People
Youth and Family Services are available to support young people during the COVID-19 pendemic. It is not unusual to feel stressed, worried, anxious or even bored during this time.
Our youth workers can help provide general advice about how to manage social distancing, positive wellbeing strategies and how to access other support services.
Support can be delivered by phone, Skype or Zoom.

How we can help
Youth and family counselling
We offer free and confidential counselling where you can talk about anything that may be bothering or stressing you out, including: relationships, family conflict, school issues, mental health issues like depression and anxiety and much more.
Your youth and family counsellor can see you either on your own or with your family.
How can I see someone?
Making a time to see a worker is easy. You can contact the team on 9793 2155 to make an appointment. Appointments are provided Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
You can see us alone or with your family. Family, schools and other agencies can also call us for information or to refer a young person to our service.
If you have any questions or would like more information call us on 9793 2155.
What about my privacy?
What you say to a youth and family counsellor or youth support worker is private and confidential. No one outside of the Youth Counselling and Support team will have access to this information.
However, if your worker is worried about your safety or that you or someone else may be in serious risk of being hurt then your worker has the responsibility to tell management and ensure everyone’s safety.
Want more info on mental health? There are a number of really good factsheets around that help clearly define different types of mental health concerns, as well as practical ways to get support for you, or someone you know having a rough time. You can also just give us a call to talk through any question you might have, or to find out more information - remember no question is a bad question!
