The IMPACT program is designed to provide young people with opportunities for skill development through hands-on learning. The program introduces participants to a variety of careers and volunteering roles, supporting them in developing work readiness, building confidence and creating a pathway to volunteering and employment.
What does the IMPACT program involve?
Depending on the thematic focus of the program, participants will usually:
- Complete an accredited training (such as Food Safety Certificate, Barista Training, White Card, First Aid)
- Gain hands-on experience relevant to the industry
- Participate in team-building activities to improve communication skills
- Hear from guest speakers and local organisations
- Be supported to pursue volunteering and/or employment after the program
