Amplify (formerly FReeZA) is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, vape, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people.
The City of Greater Dandenong Amplify Youth Committee is always looking for volunteers aged 12-25 years to join the team.
The program participants have the opportunity to:
- Co-design and plan community events and festivals
- Gain hands-on experience by volunteering at the events
- Learn about event management
- Gain experience in technical production and music industry (DJing, sound, lighting)
- Develop stage and performer management skills
Program Schedule 2026:
Amplify runs every Thursday during school terms.
- Term 1: 12 February – 2 April
- Term 2: 30 April – 25 June
- Term 3: 23 July – 17 September
- Term 4: 15 October – 26 November
Time: Thursdays 4.30pm - 6.30pm
Location: Dandenong
Ages: 12-25 years

Who can join the program?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be aged 12–25 years
- Live, work, study, or have a significant connection to the City of Greater Dandenong
- Be interested in event management and community involvement
Do I need prior experience?
No experience is required. We welcome beginners and those looking to build new skills.
What kind of events will I help with?
You’ll assist with community events and festivals, gaining hands-on experience in planning and volunteering. Previous events include Dandy’s Got Talent, Halloween Spooktacular, and Springvale Snow Fest.
